Caught!! Pixels and Paper December DT Reveal

I cannot believe it is December already, our tree is up and today I'm putting up my son's advent calendar!!!

This month is a wonderful Christmas inspiration: CRITERIA - Christmas and/or Pets and if you are extra clever  ... Christmas Pets

Here is my take:

I used the new Christmas line from Simple Stories, the photo is from last year which I took after the stocking were hung and I caught Santa (aka photo app) placing presents in the stocking!!!

Hope you can play along with Pixels and Paper this month: http://pixelsandpaperchallengeblog.blogspot.ca/2016/12/its-december.html

Family Canvases

Over the summer, my dad, his sisters and parents were all together which rarely happens so they were able to have a photo together. Now usually when a picture is taken of the five of them together there is atleast one of them who is not looking at the camera but this one they are all looking at the camera and are all smiling!!! So I made the photo into a canvas for my grandma, aunts, and dad:

Family: this one is for my grandma and is inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 1: http://kylesscrappymom.blogspot.ca/2016/11/sisters.html

Thank you for stopping by and for you wonderful comments :)

Sisters

As soon as I saw this picture, I knew that I needed to scrap them but then I came up with the idea that if i loved this picture so much that the people in the picture (my cousins - - who are sisters) would also like the picture so I scrapped the picture and made it into 12x12 canvases. I used DCWV's Razzle Dazzle stack:

This one I created for DCWV's November Stack-a-holic challenge: http://www.dcwv.com/blog/post/november-stack-a-holic-challenge

The other canvas I used Sketchy Friends November Challenges:

GrandDiva's sketch challenge: http://granddivasscrappyplace.blogspot.ca/2016/11/november-2016-sketch-challenge-and.html

And Rochelle Spears This or That Challenge: http://rochellespears.blogspot.ca/2016/11/november-this-or-that-challenge-winners.html

I used wood (flourish on right side of photo)

Imagine - November Pixels and Paper DT reveal

good morning, hope everyone is doing well!!! i am in the new place and am loving it!!! I still don't have a scrap space so that is on the agenda for this week.

Here is this month's inspiration:

here is my take, I was inspired by the chair (which looks super comfy) and the idea of relaxing, as well as the flowers on the wall:

and some close-ups

The cut file is from the silhouette store. I used a variety of flowers from different manufacturers including prima, recollections and the dollar store. To create the title, I painted a wood veneer in white and once it dried used gold smooch accent ink to trace over.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you can play along this month at Pixels and Paper. This month's twist is to have some gold in your layout. You have until the end of the month to link up your creation to: http://pixelsandpaperchallengeblog.blogspot.ca/

Flowers & Butterflies baby album

A friend of mine had a baby a couple of weeks ago. When I asked her what she would like, her response brought me to tears. She said she loves everything I make and would love anything I made. She doesn't have a theme for the baby's room but loves purple for a girl so I decided to go with a butterfly and flower theme.

Gift making night

I was so fortunate today as my son was home from school and my husband had a day off so we were all home together so spent the chilly day inside in the living room watching movies, playing, and scrapping.

First up is my friend Megan who posed for this fun photo. I used a stencil and texture paste (which I tinted with paint and sprays). The trees (a2z scraplets), I painted green and then glittered the ends. I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 1: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-week-1-team-a.html

Next up is a selfie of Megan and I at gift making night. I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 3: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-week-3-reveal.html

Next up is my friend Sarah who is our "unofficial" baby holder. She is truly one of the best people in the world and I am so blessed to call her my friend. I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 2: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-week-2-team-b.html

Next up is a fun layout of my son and I at gift making night, he was such a good listener that night and i'm pretty sure liked eating the chocolate chips more than making the gifts. I was inspired by Stuck?! Sketches September 15th sketch: http://stucksketches.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-15-2016-challenge-reveal.html

The last photo from gift making night is of my friend Amanda with her son making soup in a jar. I was inspired by Sketch~n~Scrap #113: http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com
