Ryleigh's Birthday

Next up is a fun layout I created of my cousin's daughter's birthday last year at an indoor playroom. My mom was up as she had helped my brother move up this way so she ws able to celebrate as well.

I used March-1-2017 Let's Scrap Sketch. I love their sketches as I take way too many pictures and they always have great two-pagers with lots pictures. I especially loved this sketch because of the circular photos (which I was able to focus on my mom and my uncle going down the slide). Here is Let's Scrap sketch:

Mom life is the best life

Next up is a simple layout I did of myself (I rarely take selfies), I kept it simple to focus on the beauty and tranquility of the photos. This past September was unusually beautiful in Northern Alberta that I was actually able to walk in the mornings my son went to school. It was great self-care and I consider myself very fortunate that I am able to be a stay-at-home mom.

I created this layout for Scrap the Girls March challenge: http://scrap-the-girls.blogspot.ca/2017/03/march-challenge-first-lets-take-selfie.html

Boys will be boys

Good afternoon, after a week hiatus I finally had some energy to go into my scrap room and spent the whole day down there. First up is a layout I created of my son and his friends at playgroup getting super messy. When I saw this month's inspiration at Scrap the Boys I just knew that I wanted to use this picture as they were such a disaster and took turns washing them up.

Here is the inspiration from Scrap the Boys: I was inspired by the brown and the idea of dirt.

Ice Cream on a HOT day

Next up today is a photo of my son and I eating ice cream at our family reunion. There is an ice cream stand at our campground so we would walk there as a family once a day to get ice cream cones:

I am submitting this for Scrap Our Stash February tic-tac-toe challenge: http://scrapourstash.blogspot.ca/2017/02/february-tic-tac-toe-stash-challenge.html

I went down the middle using polka dot paper (bottom layer is black paper with gold polka dots), hearts (brads along the right side of the photo), and glitter ("hot" and in the ice cream).

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments :)

Home, Happy & Family

Next up is a layout I created a photo of my grandma with 7 of her 8 children.

I used DCWV's sketch: http://www.dcwv.com/blog/post/february-stack-a-holic-challenge-starts-now

I am also entering this layout in Picture This! tic-tac-toe challenge: http://picturethischallenges.blogspot.ca/2017/02/february-picture-this-challenge-tic-tac.html

I went down the middle going down using sequins, layering, and hearts (both stenciled background, and embellies).

Thank you for stopping by and hope you can find some time this month to play along with these two fun challenges

some people are worth melting for - stuck Feb 15

Next up is my take on 02-15-17 Stuck?! Sketch:

My son melt Anna, Elsa and Olaf last spring at a Disney Princess concert. After the show they had a meet and greet and we were the first ones in line. The icicles and snowflakes were cut with my silhouette and then i glittered the icicles and heat embossed the snowflakes.
