VIA

Next up is a layout of my son on when we took a VIA train trip from Edmonton to Vancouver this past spring.

The journalling reads:
Wehn my car was ready to be picked up in Vancouver, we decided to take the train one-way from Edmonton to Vancouver. It was a once in a lifetime experience with wonderful food and breath taking views. Kyle loved every minute of the ride from wandering around, wtching movies, looking out the window, playing with his toys or snuggling. It was a 26 hour ride with only 2 stops (one while we slept). March 14-15 2017

This layout is really special because my son picked out the papers and stickers himself at the scrapbook store with our train trip pictures in mind.

I used Let's Scrap 5-1-17 sketch because as soon as I saw it the bookmarks reminded me of tickets so it was just perfect for the train photos: http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.ca/2017/05/5-1-17-new-sketch.html

For the first time in forever

Last up tonight is a fun layout of a concert my son and I went to last year. It was a princess concert in Plamondon and it was a great time.

I created this for Scrap the Girls April Mood board challenge:

I was inspired by the colours, the car (as we had to drive to the concert) and the water (because Elsa makes it snow and when snow melts it makes water).  Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments, hope you can play along with Scrap the Girls: http://scrap-the-girls.blogspot.ca/2017/04/april-challenge-seaglass-moodboard.html

happy birthday card

my nephew's birthday party was yesterday, but unfortunately we got a blizzard and didn't feel safe travelling so we stayed home. I did however, make him a birthday card (with minions of course since that is his favorite)!!!

I stamped happy birthday over and over the background piece, the minion washi tape and stickers I got specifically for my nephew.

I used sketch~n~scrap card sketch #96:

New Room

Next up is a fun layout of my son in his room at our new house. Kyle wanted a spiderman room, so he asked nana if she could make him a spiderman quilt, then used birthday giftcards to buy spiderman sheets/pillowcase, got two different spiderman blankets for his birthday, mommy and dad got him spiderman shelves/wallpaper borders/pictures and he picked out spiderman wall decals. This was the first night he spent in his new room when we finally got his room all spiderman'd:

Big Kid

Final layout to share with you today is one of my son, this picture my husband took. I covered the naked bum with an icon.

Puddle Jumper

The second sketch at Let's Scrap was super inspiring to me as I have been wanting to scrap these photos of my son playing in the rain for the last two years:

The bear and title were cut with my silhouette. The quote was done with sketch pens and my silhouette. I used Echo Park paper and unknown washi.  Here is 3-15-17 sketch:

Thank you for playing along, hope you can play at Let's Scrap this month: http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.ca/2017/03/3-15-17-new-sketch.html
